Karl-Christian (KC) was appointed as a director of ipernica on 31 March 2009.
KC has been a director of Schibsted since 2003. Schibsted is a Scandinavian media group with operations in 22 countries, including Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. In 2008 they had a turnover of NOK 13.7 billion (A$3 billion).
KC is also Vice Chairman of Norfund, a Norwegian development financial institution which invests risk capital in profitable private enterprises in developing countries to facilitate economic growth and poverty reduction.
Previously, KC co-founded Northzone Ventures, a European Venture Capital Partnership. He was instrumental in establishing Northzone's strategy and focus, raising funds and carrying out investment decisions with hands on involvement in portfolio companies. Prior to that, he co-founded HUGIN AS, a company that distributes financial information from listed European companies via the internet. He was Managing Director and susbsequently Chairman until the Company was sold in 2006 to Euronext SA.
He was previously a consultant with McKinsey & Co and supported clients in Scandanavia and Great Britain in the fields of strategy, operations and change management.
