Conrad was appointed as a director of ipernica in October 2000.
Conrad is the former Director, IP Commercialisation in the Office of R&D of Curtin University. Conrad has extensive experience in all aspects of technology commercialisation, including his current consulting work and previously his role as managing director of TechStart Australia Pty Ltd and its investee companies. He is a director of numerous start-up technology ventures, including Neuromonics Pty Ltd, Sea Gyro Pty Ltd and Scanalyse Pty Ltd.
Conrad was previously Commercial Manager at QPSX Communications Pty Ltd from 1990 to 1998 (now a subsidiary of ipernica ltd) and was responsible for the commercialisation of the patent portfolio. This included the negotiation and management of licence agreements, joint development and worldwide marketing arrangements and ongoing liaison with telecommunication equipment vendors such as Siemens and Alcatel.
